Gidel’s CoaXPress 2.0 (CXP-12/6) Frame Grabbers offer various options. These range from plug-and-play high-performance models to full custom systems. The Proc10A-CXP6 family supports 8x 6.25 Gb/s links. The HawkEye-CXP12 family supports 4x 12.5 Gb/s links.

The Frame Grabbers feature a PCIe Gen. 3x 8 host interface. They include image buffers up to 32 GB. They offer real-time compression and offload Regions Of Interest (ROI) to utilize additional bandwidth. The grabber supports 1+ GPixels/s Lossless, JPEG, and Quality+ encoders. This is four times the pixel throughput of other solutions.

FPGA Vision Development Suite

Gidel’s grabber systems are supported by the ProcVision Developer’s Suite. This suite allows users to tailor Vision flows easily. It customizes both software and FPGA design code. The kit includes ProcFG and InfiniVision Frame Grabber GUIs, APIs, and supporting libraries. The Gidel Proc Dev Kit generates Application Support Packages (ASPs) automatically. It also includes CamSim (camera simulator) and tools for debugging and verifying FPGA ISP IPs.

CoaXPress Vision Edge Computers

The Gidel FantoVision 40 edge computer is a unique market solution. It combines CoaXPress Vision grabbers with an NVIDIA Jetson computer in a compact form factor. FantoVision enables image pre-processing on FPGA, including compression. It also supports real-time processing on the Jetson computer using NVIDIA’s CUDA-based image processing and AI libraries.
